Quintessence

Presenting Quintessence by Tracie Caller

The RESS 2000 Sculpture Contest Winner

Quintessence is now SOLD OUT; thank you to all who purchased this lovely resin!

Quintessence

Tracie Caller sculpted an amazing classic-scale cantering Friesian mare. While sculpting is a more recent venture, Tracie Caller has been involved with art her entire life. Her mother first got her involved in painting and drawing when she was a child, but she didn't start sculpting until about 1996. She instantly found it easier to convey her ideas in 3-D.

Quintessence

Tracie is currently attending the University of Wyoming with a double major in molecular biology and zoology, and plans to attend medical school upon graduation. Rather than pursuing a degree in art, Tracie prefers to attend workshops when she can, and has studied with artists like Jan Woods and Sue Sifton. Many of her techniques were self-taught, and are the result of a lot of trial and error.

Quintessence

Tracie is also active in the real horse world. She is an avid dressage rider, and she competes in huntseat for the UW Intercollegiate Equestrian Team. Her involvement in the equine world makes horses a favorite subject for her artistic endeavors.
